How does the Software Work?

At the core of Software for EOS is axis diplomat, which is highly proficient business information system. Its standard capabilities include Stock Control, Sales and Purchase Order Processing, Price and Stock feeds from the major EOS suppliers, integrated Accounts – all designed to make the system perfect choice for the EOS sector.

Wholesaler & Distributor Integration

axis diplomat provides all of the functionality that you would expect from your back office software, and it also includes electronic links with all of the leading distributors (such as Advent, UFP and Beta) as well as traditional Office Products wholesalers such as Vow and Spicers.

Supported Wholesalers include:

  • Advent
  • Badger / IJD
  • Beta
  • Computer 2000
  • Ingram
  • Midwich
  • UFP
  • Westcoast

as well as the traditional Office Products wholesalers:

  • Spicers
  • VOW

For the complete, up-to-date, list of supported wholesalers, along with the level of integration that we are able to offer with each wholesaler, please visit the EDI and Suppliers page.

Supplier Stock & Price Feeds

An essential part of the Software for EOS solution is the Supplier Feed mechanism. axis diplomat will collect feeds from your printer consumables suppliers as often as they are updated by the supplier. The information provided does vary from distributor to distributor but most supply not just your latest price but their current stock availability. This not only means that the purchasing routines are able to choose suppliers who actually have stock, rather than suppliers who are cheaper but have no stock (the exact purchasing rules that you decide on are configurable).

As well as facilitating more informed purchasing, axis diplomat is also capable of aggregating the supplier stock into the available stock shown on your website. For example, if you have 10 of an item, supplier A has 1020 and supplier B has 320 then your website can show available stock as 1350 - since this is the total number of items that you could source if you purchased all the stock from all the suppliers.

Website Integration

That covers getting your orders placed with suppliers but what about your customer's orders? axis diplomat naturally features a powerful order maintenance interface for use by telesales staff but most printer consumables business today is carried out on the web.

If you already have a successful website that you wish to retain then talk to us about integrating axis diplomat with that website. Alternatively, if you are looking for a new website then axis vMerchant offers the best levels of integration possible - both for enhanced B2C (retail) or B2B (trade) functionality. Further information is on our eCommerce and Website Integration page.

If you also sell through Amazon or eBay then those orders too can be imported directly into axis diplomat.

Stockless or Warehouse Operation

Whether you keep your own stock in your own warehouse (placing stock orders with wholesalers and needing your own order picking and despatch management software) or back-off all your orders to distribution for drop-shipping then our Software for EOS can handle your requirements.

Stockists will appreciate the interfaces available to a host of carriers for complete end-to-end integration -as orders are consigned to the carrier, the tracking details are read back in and an email sent to the customer, complete with a link to track their parcel.

For those suppliers of Printer Consumables who run a completely stockless operation, our Software for EOS is capable to helping place each order with the best supplier, based on price and availability.

In either case, the design ethos of our software is that full automation is achievable - orders being automatically imported from your website(s), orders being automatically placed (with operator supervision) with suppliers and deliveries being automatically consigned to your chosen carrier.
