Web services support consultant

With a knowledge of e-commerce-based websites and experience of working on a technical helpdesk, you will be looking for your next opportunity. An IT company in the beautiful South West we provide corporate standard IT solutions to small and medium sized businesses and are looking for somebody to join our web services support team as a consultant providing telephone, email and on-site support to clients. You will be responding to requests for help, advice and guidance with the existing websites and also with new or rebuild website projects.
You will be client focused and an excellent communicator, both over the phone and face to face within your team. You will be a problem solver and able to prioritise and organise your workload to meet deadlines.
The role will also involve travelling to customer sites to deliver training, so you will be confident in your own ability to share information and learning and to be able to tailor your training to meet the needs of the individual companies.
We are looking for you to hold a Diploma/HNC/NVQ level 4/degree or equivalent in a numerate or technical subject and to have a commitment to continuing your own professional development. Technical Service Desk Analyst
|Reporting To||Technical Service Desk Manager|
This is a technical role operating within a busy but friendly service desk providing customer-focused solutions and advice to ICT problems and queries raised by users while working to Service Level Objectives.
The customer base is predominantly small businesses in varied business sectors.
Supporting mainly Microsoft Windows Server and workstation, a wide variety of 3rd party applications and hardware, mobile and IP telephony, network infrastructure and security products.
You will have an opportunity to fully contribute to the team and to identify and improve service and processes. Ongoing training available and working towards Microsoft and other industry certifications encouraged and supported.
Skills and Experience:
You should have previous experience of working on a service desk as this is a senior post working at 2nd and 3rd tiers. A good communicator with the ability to create business-like and lasting relationships with clients.
Good all-round knowledge of IT. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft workstation and server operating systems essential. Must have Microsoft Windows Server qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience along with excellent network knowledge.
Trainee Software Engineer

Due to expansion, we require an additional Trainee Software Engineer to work from our Bridgwater offices to work within the development team of our axis diplomat software package.
You will be committed to a career in Programming and have a strong academic record with a minimum of a 2:1 in a science related subject. A working knowledge of Microsoft Visual C++ and STL is essential. We will want to see evidence of your work using C++ either through a work or academic based project.
The successful candidate will be client focussed and an excellent communicator with the ability to solve complex problems and work as part of a team. You will need to be able to organise your time effectively and have good time management skills.
Experience using the Win32 API directly and SQL, specifically Microsoft would be an advantage.
