For axis diplomat 2008 and below the presence of a database server was optional although certain functionality would be unavailable if it is not present.
* If you intend to use Microsoft SQL Express, please check the Microsoft documentation to ensure that limitations on this edition of SQL do not render it unsuitable for your system. axisfirst only supports SQL Express for use in conjunction with axis diplomat Express edition.
