HMRC to discontinue P45 stationery from August

HMRC had previously announced that employers would no longer be able to order pre-printed P45 and P60 stationery from March 2020. This decision was postponed, however, to avoid unnecessarily adding to businesses' workloads during the coronavirus pandemic.

Pre-printed P45 and P60 stationery will now only be available until the end of July 2020.

An update will be released by the 24th July for axis payroll to allow printing of P45s as well as P60s onto plain A4 paper. This update will be available to all axis payroll users, including both axis payroll 2016 and axis payroll 2018.

If you currently rely on ordering pre-printed P45 stationery from HMRC, we recommend updating your software at the earliest opportunity after July 24th.
