Microsoft Increases Prices in UK to Reflect Decline in British Pound

Since the UK voted to leave the EU, the downturn in the British Pound has inevitably forced companies to pass on increased costs to their customers. Following the lead of several other companies, Microsoft has announced in an official blog that from 1st January 2017, cloud services are set to rise by 22 percent and their Enterprise software by around 13 percent.

For axisfirst customers, this will predominantly effect subscriptions to the now popular Office 365 plans. However, it will also impact on some server operating system and application licensing programmes. At this time these price changes will not apply to any “consumer” software or services.

The UK has already seen Hewlett Packard implement hardware price increases effecting server, workstation and printer pricing as well as associated warranties.
