Cyber Security Awareness Month 2025

October is global cyber security awareness month. The key focus in the industry in 2025 is the vital role that emotional awareness and human behaviour plays in cyber security.

This year more than ever, cyber attacks have made headline news and whilst high profile organisations may dominate the spotlight, smaller businesses across the UK are just as much at risk and targeted by cyber criminals. Cyber security awareness month serves as a reminder that whilst headlines do grab attention, it is just as important to reinforce securing the everyday tools and systems we rely on.

We are actively working with several clients to attain Cyber Essentials certification to build a solid foundation, but that is the framework on which to build and not a box-ticking exercise.

Our role is to support your business to understand the risks, implement a layered suite of cyber security products and services and to provide you with the tools to educate, inform and empower your people in the collective responsibilty of protecting your organisation.

Fear, urgency, greed, opportunity, curiousity, obedience and sociableness all play a part in individual human behaviour. Check out our blog on human psychology and its role in cyber security awareness training.
