Our Bridgwater office is within easy reach of the M5 at junctions 23 and 24 as well as being on the crossroads of the A38 and A39. This means it provides convenient commuting from a number of towns, including Taunton, Weston-super-Mare, Minehead, Street and Glastonbury.

Trainee Software Engineer

Due to expansion, we require an additional Trainee Software Engineer to work from our Bridgwater offices to work within the development team of our axis diplomat software package.

You will be committed to a career in Programming and have a strong academic record with a minimum of a 2:1 in a science related subject. A working knowledge of Microsoft Visual C++ and STL is  essential. We will want to see evidence of your work using C++ either through a work or academic based project.

The successful candidate will be client focussed and an excellent communicator with the ability to solve complex problems and work as part of a team. You will need to be able to organise your time effectively and have good time management skills.

Experience using the Win32 API directly and SQL, specifically Microsoft would be an advantage.

Software Services Analyst

We are recruiting a Software Services Analyst based from our Bridgwater office with some travel and overnight stays. Within this role you will provide pre and post-sales support to clients and colleagues on the use and operation of axisfirst software products by telephone, e-mail, remote working, conference calls and face-to-face through onsite visits. It is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a car for business use.

With a minimum of 6 GCSE's or equivalent at grades A-C including Maths and English you will have a level 4 qualification or higher in a numerate/technical subject. You will have extensive knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The successful candidate will have worked in a software support or deployment role and/or operated at a senior level within an SME in a systems based role. With sound problem solving and excellent communication skills, you will be client focused and have effective organisational and time management skills. You will need to be able to work well as part of a team and be solution focused.

It would be beneficial to have gained experience of delivering projects within a PRINCE 2 framework and to have a PRINCE 2 qualification.  

Software Support Consultant

As part of our Software Services team based in Bridgwater you will offer first line telephone and e-mail software support to existing clients responding to their request for help, advice and guidance on our axis diplomat business software including payroll.

You will need a minimum of 6 GCSE's (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths and English and have a level 4 qualification or higher in numerate or technical subject. The successful candidate will have gained helpdesk experience and have extensive knowledge of IT systems and software programs such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Client focused and an excellent communicator you will be a problem solver and solution focused. With the ability to work as part of a team you will need to have excellent organisational and time management skills. Experience of working within an ITIL framework, delivering training and managing complex data and information analysis would be beneficial. An AAT qualification or above or a CIMA qualification would be desirable.

Occasional travel is expected so a full driving licence and access to a car for business use is essential.

ICT Product Support Specialist

This is a technical role providing specialist and in-depth ICT support and advice along with project design, specification and management which will involve some travel to sites throughout the UK.

You will be involved with planning and implementing ICT projects to deploy products and services, research and testing new and existing products and services, providing technical advice to Sales staff, and working with the service desk primarily on complex issues.

The ability to problem solve and prioritise is essential along with excellent communication skills allowing you to create business-like and lasting relationships with clients.  Contributing within the Technical Services team you will be able to identify and improve service and processes.

You will have at least 3 years working in an ICT technical role, with excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN, Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation. It is expected you will hold one or more certifications or have in-depth knowledge in the following areas: Windows Server (e.g. MCSA), Office 365, networking (e.g. CCNA, Network+), project management (e.g. PRINCE2), ITIL, BTEC, HND, degree, telephony, Azure/cloud.
