Latest ONS Statistics on Internet Use
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has released their latest statistics for domestic Internet Use in the UK.
The key points in the report include:
- The Internet was used daily or almost daily by 82% of adults, up from 78% in the previous year.
- 70% of adults accessed the Internet 'on the go' using a mobile phone or smartphone, up from 66% in the previous year.
- 21% of adults used Smart TVs to access the Internet.
- 77% if adults bought goods or services online.
- The most popular online purchases were clothes and sporting goods.
- 89% of households (23.7 million) had Internet access.
