About axisfirst

Welcome to axisfirst. Formed in 1980 (initially as Softpac Limited but as Systems AXIS Limited since 1985), axisfirst has been a provider of IT products and solutions for over thirty years. The business is privately owned and all of the shareholders work within the business full time.

With offices in Bridgwater (Somerset) and Bromsgrove (West Midlands), approximately 50 full time staff and an annual turnover of over £2million, we service small and medium businesses throughout the UK. Our experience and stability is testimony to our commitment to building long term relationships with our clients.

In 2005, Systems AXIS adopted the trading style axisfirst, as part of a corporate rebranding project to more clearly identify the separate divisions within the company:

Business Software

The original business of Systems AXIS was developing and marketing a range of business software. Originally called AXIS MAP, that software is now known as axis diplomat and there are specific variants for a number of different markets, including Office Products, Wholesale/Distribution, Hire and Payroll. Telecoms

As voice and data technologies have converged, axisfirst has found itself in the ideal position to offer complete fixed line and mobile voice and data solutions to keep your business in touch. Our many years of experience with inter-site and intra-site data solutions has meant that we are ideally qualified to specify and install VoIP and digital PABX solutions, including branch and home-worker solutions. Our strategic partnerships with the key mobile service providers ensures that we are able to offer all of the competitive call plans whilst also understanding the additional requirements of mobile data. axisfirst specialises in web solutions for business, including web design services and eCommerce solutions based around axis vMerchant. axis vMerchant offers exceptionally close and seamless integration with our back office software, axis diplomat, to provide a true end-to-end solution. Business partner in IT

We recognise the importance of maintaining close ties with the key partners that we work with and we invest heavily in building those relationships to allow us to deliver market leading solutions, including training and accreditations for both sales and technical staff. Foremost amongst those is our investment in the Microsoft Partner Programme.

axisfirst is a Microsoft Gold Partner and holds the Gold Independent Software Solutions (ISV) competency.

Microsoft Certified Partners with the ISV Software Solutions Competency have proven competency in developing applications that are designed to make the most of the features and facilities provided by the latest Microsoft technologies. Part of the accreditation process for this competency is for a suite of application software to be independently tested for its resilience and conformity to Microsoft standards. The application software tested for the axis first accreditation was axis diplomat.
