How it Works

The way in which Citrix works is very simple for your users. Firstly, the user connects to a predefined website URL via their web browser. Secondly, a small piece of software known as the Citrix ICA Client is downloaded to the user’s machine whether that by Windows Desktop, Windows Mobile, Mac OS or Linux. Lastly, after the initial login, the user launches the desired application from a list of authorised applications displayed within a frame within the website. The client software is transparently relaying the keystrokes and mouse clicks over the remove connection to the server which in return sends screen updates and audio output directly to the user.

The remote user experience is the same as working at a desk in the head office due to the underlying protocols that Citrix have developed over the past 15 years to enable remote users to work productively even on low speed connections of 20Kbps.
