AXIS Diplomat Millennium Compliance

Description: Millennium Compliance Statement for AXIS Diplomat.

AXIS Diplomat 7.4 has been tested for millennium compliance against the British Standards Institute (BSI) definition (www.bsi.org.uk/disc/year2000.html).

The current status of all standard AXIS Diplomat packages is as shown in the following table. Where a package is shown as compliant, it has passed all Systems AXIS checks on programming code and user testing for millennium compliance issues. In the event that any further issues are discovered these will be addressed in further updates, available free of charge to all AXIS Diplomat users. Where a package is shown as not compliant the anticipated release date of a compliant update is shown.

Some systems may have special software installed which has been supplied either by Systems AXIS or by an Approved AXIS Developer (AAD). Where this is the case you should contact the supplier to confirm the status of this software.

Registered users of AXIS Diplomat 7.x who are currently running earlier releases (e.g. 7.3) qualify for a free of charge update to release 7.4. Updates are being shipped to customers on a scheduled program throughout 1999, however customers may request the update as of now if desired. ALL FREE OF CHARGE UPDATES WILL BE SUPPLIED ON CD-ROM ONLY. Updates on 3.5" diskette are available if required for a media and handling charge.

AXIS Diplomat 7 was first released in 1994 and therefore all Systems AXIS customers who have purchased AXIS Diplomat 7 software since 1994 qualify for this update.

Older releases of AXIS Business Software (which date from 1994 or earlier, e.g. versions 5.x or 6.x) have been tested and found NOT to be compliant. Customers running these versions must purchase an upgrade to AXIS Diplomat 7. We recommend that upgrades are carried out as soon as possible since millennium compliance issues will emerge well before 31st December 1999 (for example purchase orders or sales orders due for delivery in 2000, or accounting year numbers changing to "00" after the 1999 year end).
