Description: Networks from Systems AXIS
In addition to supplying business software, Systems
AXIS Ltd also install networks, running Windows XP Professional (peer
to peer), Windows 2000 Small Business Server, Windows 2000 Server or Windows
Server 2003. What are the benefits of having Systems AXIS install the
network?
Every Part of the Job Covered:
As well as software engineers specialising in AXIS
application software, we have a number of engineers whose specific roles
are relating to the installation and configuration of network operating
systems such as Microsoft Windows Server. We also have maintenance engineers
who can provide on-going hardware maintenance and cabling contractors,
specifically to install Category 5 structured cabling.
"One Stop Shop":
If Systems AXIS are supplying the application software
and support, then supplying the hardware and network as well means that,
if you have any problem, you know who is responsible for sorting it out.
You have the peace of mind to know that you won't be running around trying
to find out who is responsible for a particular part of the system. One
telephone call is sufficient.
Project Management:
As soon as you involve more than one supplier, you
need to take responsibility for the project management yourself. If Systems
AXIS is installing the complete system, we will take care of the project
management. We can ensure that the cabling installation is completed before
the network is installed and we can ensure the network installation is
complete (and working) before the software is installed. We can every
take care of all liasing with British Telecom to ensure that any data
lines (ISDN, Kilostream, etc) are installed at the right time.
Perfect Integration with AXIS Diplomat:
Because AXIS Diplomat is a true multi-user, client/server
application, it has specific requirements from the network that it is
running on. Whilst the requirements are well-documented (in the AXIS Installation
Guide, on the Systems AXIS web site and in Fact Sheets) you cannot be
sure that your network installer will take these requirements into account
when designing or configuring a network - unless that installer is Systems
AXIS.
The majority of smaller networks are used simply to
share the occasional word processing or spreadsheet document and to share
printers. File/Printer sharing networks are simple to install. We, however,
understand the additional network considerations of client/server applications
since the vast majority of the networks which we install are used for
far more than file and printer sharing.
Technical Experience:
Systems AXIS has been installing networks for more
than fifteen years and we run our own business on a range of Windows-based
servers. Furthermore, we are constantly evaluating the latest developments
to ensure that we provide hardware and network systems which deliver the
performance and reliability demanded by the latest applications.
No Compromise:
Our experience tells us what is required for a network
to run reliably and perform brilliantly and we do not cut corners! We
believe that cutting corners inevitably results in a system failing to
live up to expectations and is a false economy.
Future Advice:
If Systems AXIS has supplied the hardware, network
operating systems and application software, we are perfectly placed to
offer advice and guidance on future changes to the system.
