AXEOS - The EOS Module for axis diplomat for OP
Within the office products market, the main growth area for dealers is the supply of Electronic Office Supplies.
AXEOS is a new module for office product suppliers that provides:
- EOS Database
- EOS Price Feed updates
- Web access to latest printer compatibility database for product identification of ‘what goes with what’.
This market is huge, extremely competitive and is rapidly expanding. With new and advanced printers being introduced almost daily, and each printer requiring any number of consumable products, such as inkjet cartridges and paper, there is intense pressure to keep pace.
“The ever-increasing challenges within the marketplace mean that there is constant pressure to protect margins, and that’s why we’ve developed a new EOS module, AXEOS, for use alongside our popular and established axis diplomat software,” explains John T. Lochrie, Office Products Account Manager for axis first.
“AXEOS offers a number of key components providing office products dealers with a fast and effective means of keeping ahead in an ever-changing and evolving market.”
The EOS Database is held within the axis diplomat System. Each product within the database is identified by the manufacturer’s OEM reference, for example 51645A – HP No 45 Black Ink Cartridge. In addition, the database has been meticulously designed to ensure accurate product cross-referencing with all the major EOS suppliers. Notable among these are UFP, Computer 2000, ISA/Raw, Xma, Ingram, Integra, Westcoast, and the major wholesalers.
The EOS Price Feed mechanism provides automatic updates to pricing and product availability from those EOS suppliers who make this information available. The EOS price and product availability update can be run on demand, or at timed intervals, for example, overnight. The dealer principals can be confident that their staff has the most up-to-date information when negotiating with their customers. Please check the wholesaler list for the latest list of supported price feeds.
The EOS Price feed mechanism includes facilities to calculate revised cost prices, including a specified mark-up, which in turn may be used to re-calculate selling prices.
The Printer/Compatibility Database resides on a web server, and is accessed via the axis diplomat Sales Order process. The database is constantly updated from information supplied by manufacturers and distributors alike, and is activated on a subscription basis.
The database facilitates a one-stop operation and assists the operator in identifying which printer or consumable the customer requires. It removes the need to access other websites or catalogues to determine ‘what goes with what’. Accuracy of information is assured, thus eliminating incorrect supply, and improving both customer service and profitability.
