Trade Service's Computerised Pricing (Luckins)
Trade Service Information Ltd (otherwise known as Luckins), supply computerised price lists for direct import onto computer systems. TSI provide lists for the following types of business:
- Electrical Listings for Wholesalers, Distributors, Manufacturers, Contractors, Engineers, Electricity Companies, Local Authorities and Industrials.
- Mechanical Listings for Engineers, Contractors, Merchants, Distributors, Manufacturers, Local Authorities and Industrials
- Engineers Tools Listings for Wholesalers, Distributors, Hire Shops, Retailers and Industrials
Subscribers to this service will receive product and pricing information electronically on a weekly basis. axis diplomat 2008 can accept these listings directly into its stock file. Using the two systems together will offer the user absolutely up to date pricing and product information without the time consuming task of manually maintaining the stock system.
In order for the axis diplomat 2008 system to accept the above lists it must also be equipped with the Alternate Stock Reference and Quantity Break Pricing options.
In this configuration, the axis diplomat prime stock reference is used for the unique EDP Code Number and the alternate stock reference is used for the Manufacturers Catalogue Number.
Create New AXIS Stock Records
This function will read a 'CREATE' file from diskette and will automatically create a new stock record for any N (new item) records on the file. Any X (detail changes), T (transfer) or Z (deleted items) records will be ignored by this function if a 'REVISION' file is used by mistake. At the end of the file the total number of new stock records created will be displayed together with a warning if any X, T or Z records were encountered.
A report listing the stock records created (and reporting any that already exist) will be printed.
Update AXIS Stock Records
This function will read a 'REVISIONS' file from disk and will automatically:
- create a new stock record for any N (new item) records on the file.
- update the existing stock record for any X (detail changes) records on the file.
- change the prime stock reference (EDP Code) for any T (transfer) records on the file
- delete the existing stock record for any Z (deleted items) records on the file.
The remaining information will be inserted into an AXIS stock record as for a creation.
At the end of the file the total number of records processed will be displayed. A report listing the stock records updated/created (and reporting any mismatches) will be printed.
