Will my AXIS VMerchant web site be Search Engine friendly?

AXIS VMerchant includes a number of facilities to help improve your search engine presence. Naturally, search engine positioning is less relevent to a B2B site (since anyone finding your site through a search engine will be unable to login to purchase) but it can still be a useful way to raise your profile with potential customers.

For retail sites in which Search Engine Optimisation is particularly critical, an optional plug-in is available to provide URL Re-Writing.

My Customers all have Special Pricing; how is this handled?

If you are using AXIS Diplomat for your back office applications then any pricing structure support by that system will be replicated on your web site - essentially, if you have set up your back office system so that when you enter a sales order for a customer, the system defaults to the correct price for that product for that customer, then the customer will also see the right price when they log in to your web site.

The list of pricing structures supported by AXIS Diplomat and AXIS VMerchant is extensive and includes net pricing, customer/product discount matrix, case pricing, quantity break pricing, quantity break discounting and currency pricing.

I have a number of sections on my web site that are not related to my product catalogue but which change on a regular basis. Is this handled?

Yes! AXIS VMerchant incorporates a “Content Management System”. When your site is designed, sections can be identified as coming from the CMS database and you have the ability to log in to an administrative section of our web site and update these sections as often as you like. This is ideal for frequently changing sections, such as the welcome text on your home page, your delivery terms and other terms and conditions and, of course, your News section.
